Sept. 28, 2008 – Hugh Miller Warner, also known as "Slim," died at the Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Sept. 20. He was 76 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Warner; daughters: Sonia Tyson, Valencia Bates and Phoenicia Warner; adopted daughter, Trinicia Jones; sons: Eardley, Ashley and James Warner; adopted son, Paul Jones; grandchildren: Dianna, Tahirah, Tarikah, Lakeisha, Cheneke, Jamal, Tsuane, Khaliq, She'Naajah and James Jr. Warner, Soyini Boatswain, Lexton Tyson, Darrell Worrel, Davey and Christian Bates; and great-granddaughter, Alexxis Watts. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Warner; sister: Patricia Caines; special friends: Antia Parker and Shorty; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
