Governor to Announce Plan to Boost Economy

June 23, 2008 — Gov. John deJongh Jr. will announce a major-economic development initiative for the territory at 8 p.m. Monday on local radio and television stations.
Residents can tune in on Radio 1000, 1340 AM, 95.1 FM, 99.5 FM, 102.9 FM, 1620 AM and on both government-access channels, WTJX channel 12, WSVI channel 8 and TV2.
The plan is "the single biggest initiative taken by an administration in the past 50 years to spur economic development in the territory, and particularly for the island of St. Croix," according to Government House spokesman Jean P. Greaux Jr.
