V.I. Nurses Association Holds Scholarship and Recognition Dinner

May 2, 2008 – Virgin Islands State Nurses Association St. Croix District 1 will hold a scholarship and recognition dinner at 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 3, at the Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino.
The scholarship fund will be used to help a nursing student attending or planning to attend the University of the Virgin Islands. This event will be held annually during Nurses Week, which is May 6-12 this year.
The association is proud to honor the following nurses, who have contributed many years of service to the community. The honorees are:
Commissioner of Health Vivian Ebbersen-Fludd RN, MSN
Executive Administrator VISNA (retired) Joyce Heyliger RN, MSN, MPH
Darice Plaskett RN, MSA, FACHE, COO; Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital
Vice President Nursing/Patient Care Services Blondell Willams RN, MSN; R.L. Schneider Medical Center
Staff Nurse Colleen Liburd RN, BSN; Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital
