WAPA Announces Carnival Week Hours

April 22, 2008 – In observance of Carnival Week, The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) Customer Service Offices hours are as follows:
St.Thomas/St. John
Wednesday, April 23 (Fair Day): Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, April 24 (J'ouvert): Closed
Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26: Closed for Carnival
Monday, April 28: Open from 7:30 a.m. (one half hour early)
St. Croix
Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24: Open – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26: Closed for Carnival
Monday, April 28: Open from 7:30 a.m. (one half hour early)

*Customer Services Offices hours will resume normal hours on Tuesday, April 29, at 8 a.m.
WAPA customers are reminded that payments can be made at all local banks or placed in the drop boxes at the authority's administrative offices. Customers with pin numbers can also make credit card payments at WAPA's Web site: viwapa.vi

Water Stand Pipe Hours will be as follows:
On St. Thomas, potable water standpipes will open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The standpipes will be closed on Saturday, April 26.
On St. John, potable water standpipes will be opened on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The standpipes will be closed on Saturday, April 26.
On St. Croix, potable water standpipes will operate normal hours throughout the week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
