April 16, 2008 The contractor working on the Christiansted Bypass will be installing a new water line in the Mount Welcome area Thursday evening causing low water pressure. Areas that will be affected are east of Lobster Garden Street, in Elizas Retreat and Tide Village, including businesses and restaurants along route 75 (East End road). These customers will begin experiencing low water pressure from 5:30 p.m. as Water and Power Authority personnel isolate the system in preparation for the new line. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday at 2 a.m.
