Elmo Plaskett East Little League Weekend Roundup

April 14, 2008 — The Suns (10-12), Yankees, Suns (7-9) and Li'l Yankees all claimed victories over the weekend in the Elmo Plaskett East Little League.
Li'l Yankees 11, Reds 2
On Friday there were two game contested. In game one in the 7-9 division, the Li'l Yankees blasted the Reds 11-2. The Li'l Yankees had 11 runs on 14 hits with three errors, while the Reds had two runs on three hits with two errors. The winning pitcher was Alejandro Guzman, with Zane Zapphur getting the loss for the Reds. Top hitters for the Li'l Yankees were Harold Brown III, 4 for 4 with five RBIs, and Gomez, 2 for 3 with one RBI. For the Reds, Antonio Gomez went 1 for 1 with one RBI and Hayden Rahr went 1 for 1.
Suns 6, Yankees 3
Game two on Friday was contested in the 10-12 division, with the Suns outlasting the Yankees 6-3. The Suns had six runs on four hits with three errors, while the Yankees scored three runs on five hits with two errors. Jahkeibo Joseph picked up the win on the hill for the Suns while Tikoy Felix got the loss for the Yankees. Top hitters for the Suns were Christopher Joseph, 1 for 2 with two RBIs, and Dante James, 1 for 1 with one RBI. For the Yankees, Lakish Plante went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI and Akeem Knight went 1 for 2.
Suns 7, Angels 5
In the first game Saturday contested in the 10-12 division, the league-leading Suns grabbed their second win of the weekend with a 7-5 win over the Angels. The Suns had seven runs on five hits with three errors, while the Angels had five runs on two hits with two errors. Nayib Gonzales was the winning pitcher, while Akeem Reefer got the loss for the Angels. Top hitters for the Suns were Gonzales, 2 for 2 with two RBIs, and Devante Brooks, 1 for 2 with two RBIs. For the Angels, Reefer went 1 for 2 with a home run and two RBIs and Nicholas Springer went 1 for 2 with two RBIs.
Suns (7-9) 15, Li'l Alphas 0
Game two on Saturday in the 7-9 division was no contest, as the Suns whitewashed the Li'l Alphas 15-0 behind the one-hit pitching of Akido Lindquist. Rashawn Bergen got the loss for the Li'l Alphas. The Suns had 15 runs on five hits, while Marcelino Rivera had the lone hit for the Li'l Alphas. Jahrique Richards went 1 for 2 with a home run and one RBI and Lindquist went 1 for 2 with five RBIs.
Yankees 10, Dodgers 9
In game three, in the 10-12 division, the Yankees edged the Dodgers 10-9 in a very close encounter. It was the Yankees with 10 runs on six hits with three errors, while the Dodgers had nine runs on four hits and committed two errors. Lakish Plante got the win on the mound for the Yankees, while Marco Rhymer got the loss for the Dodgers.
Top hitters for the Yankees were Plante, 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Akeem Knight, 1 for 1 with one RBI. For the Dodgers, Romani Hansen went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and Reneah Guzman went 1 for 3 with one RBI.
