St. Croix District, Territorial Competitions Scheduled for V.I. History Bowl

April 12, 2008 – The St. Croix District and the Territorial Competitions of the Virgin Islands History, Civics, Geography, Juvenile Rights and Character Enhancement Bowl have been rescheduled to April 14 and April 17, respectively. The competitions are being sponsored by the Virgin Islands Department of Education.
Competitors will be comprised of students from the public, private and parochial elementary, middle/junior and senior high schools across the territory. The St. Croix District competition or second round will begin at 10 a.m., on Monday, April 14, at the St. Croix Central High School. The Territorial Championship, which also begins at 10 a.m., is being held on Thursday, April 17, at the Palms Court Harbourview Hotel, according to a press release from Education. The awards ceremony will immediately follow the competition.
This year's contest will feature pictures of people, places, things, locations and questions, to include the correct spelling of historical, geographical and cultural terms.
