Cipriani Agustus Phillip Dies in Florida

Sept. 21, 2007 – Cipriani Agustus Phillip, better known as "Cip," of Christiansted, St. Croix died in Orlando, Fla., on Sept. 16.
He is survived by Lillian Troutman; daughters: Erica Merrin and Dr. Yvette Phillip; son, Major Cipriani Phillip, Jr., and stepsons: Andy Troutman and Anthony St. Louis. He is also survived by sisters: Clarissa Patrick, Thelma Khan and Cynthia Oneil-Codogan; brothers: Esau Phillip, Rudolph Phillip, David Oneil, Rev. Ethelbert Oneil, Rev. Dr. Patrick Oneil and Victor Oneil; grandchildren: Flavia Merrin, Cipriani Phillip, III and Nicholas Phillip; great grandchildren: Ma Kaela Whilby and Janaha Bertist; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A first viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 28, at the James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A second veiwing will be held at 9 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. John's Episcopal Church, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow at Christiansted.
Funeral arrangements are by the James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
