Wilhelmina Simmonds Dies at 89

Sept. 6, 2007 – Wilhelmina Simmonds died on Sept. 2, at the Hebert Grigg Home at the age of 89.
Simmonds is a native of St. Croix. She spent most of her years abroad and returned home after retirement.
She is survived by her sons: Carl Thomas and Earl Edwards; daughter-in-Law: Golda Petersen Thomas; grandchildren: Nathaniel Thomas, Debra Thomas-Andrews, Lorna Thomas-Baltimore; and great grandchildren: Carl E. Thomas III, Alexandria Baltimore, Amon Thomas, Nathaniel Thomas Jr., Jahlivya Thomas, Jahnrya Thomas, Ebony Ferrell. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren: Kaywana Meade, K'Mira Woodley, Amonik Thomas; and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 13, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
