Registration Is Open for 'Spanish for English Speakers' at UVICELL

Aug. 24, 2007 – Individuals interested in acquiring a basic level of skill in Spanish are urged to register for a course being hosted by the University of the Virgin Islands' Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center. Spanish for English Speaking People will be held from 6-8 p.m., every Thursday, from Sept. 6 until Oct. 11. Sessions will be held at the newly dedicated, Joseph E. Simpson Building in Frederiksted, St. Croix.
The course is designed for those with no prior knowledge of Spanish. Participants will learn how to recognize basic Spanish words, use words in the correct context during conversation, hold a basic conversation in Spanish and much more. Interested individuals are urged to register by Thursday, Aug. 30.
