Agriculture Department Will Hold Meeting

Aug. 10, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture invites all farmers leasing land from the VIDOA to a meeting that will take place at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 14, in REC Room 133, University of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix.
The department's new administrators will be introduced and its strategic plan will be discussed. Concerns regarding the direction of the agricultural industry will be addressed and comments are welcomed, according to a press release from the Department of Agriculture.
It will be conducted in partnership with UVI-Cooperative Extension Service Development and UVI-Small Business Development Center, which will give points on how to treat your farm as a business.
