What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

June 26, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, July 1. This Sunday we will feature music by Springsteen, Joanne Crabtree and Paul Mills, Alberta Adams, the Be Good Tanyas, Chubby Carrier and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Live in Dublin," the new release from Bruce Springsteen. Bruce is not joined by the E Street Band on this release but instead uses the services of the Sessions Band. These are the musicians who joined Bruce on his tribute album to the songs of Pete Seeger, and this live 2-CD set includes a number of the songs featured on the Seeger tribute disc.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Flight of Fancy" by the Canadian duo of Joanne Crabtree and Paul Mills. It is a wonderful CD of traditional style folk tunes. Crabtree is a friend of St. Thomas musician Archie Ogden.
We play new music from Tommy Castro, Lowen and Navarro, Bob Margolin, David Bromberg, Steve Forbert and more.
We include music from Jerry Lee Lewis, Kris Kristofferson, Curtis Salgado, Alberta Adams, the Be Good Tanyas and more.
We also include music from Chubby Carrier, who will be performing in March of 2008 at the St. John Blues Festival.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues artists James Cotton, Willie Dixon, Mississippi John Hurt and rocker Delaney Bramlett.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
