June 27, 2007 – Beyond Visions Foundation will be conducting a six-hour Preliminary Grant Proposal Development seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Florence Williams Library, on St. Croix. The registration fee is $75. The purpose of the seminar is to assist nonprofit organizations to understand the key factors needed prior to seeking and writing a grant application. The workshop will include the following topics:
Funding Trends: foundation and federal
Preparation requirements
Reviewing and analyzing grant guidelines
Developing organization information
Legal requirements and financial requirements tips
Establishing budget outlines
"Behind the scene": How grant proposals
are assessed
Data base resources
Review basic grant preparation steps
