What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

June 12, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 17. This Sunday we will feature music by Rufus Wainwright, Hoots and Hellmouth, Dave Hole, Junior Wells, Detroit Women, Tim O'Brien and more.

The Modern Music Feature CD is "Release the Stars" by Rufus Wainwright. The CD features the songs of Rufus Wainwright with some lush orchestration and unique arrangements. Rufus follows in the steps of his father, Loudon Wainwright, with his mature songwriting skills, and Rufus' sister Martha Wainwright is a guest artist on the CD.
The Indie Spotlight CD is the self-titled CD from Philadelphia duo Hoots and Hellmouth. The CD was released on Mad Dragon records, a label which comes out of Drexel University. A number of talented young singer-songwriters have been signed to the label.
We play new music from Mavis Staples, Ry Cooder, the Detroit Women, Cherryholmes, blues artist Dave Hole and more.
We include music from Buddy Guy, Tim O'Brien, Otis Redding, Junior Wells, Etta James and more.
We celebrate the birthday of traditional folk singer Peggy Seeger.

We give away a copy of the new release from singer-songwriter Abra Moore as well as a compilation called "Just One More" dedicated to the late music lover and author Larry Brown. Contributors include Greg Brown, Pieta Brown, Alejandro Escovedo, Robert Earl Keen and the North Mississippi All Stars.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
