Keeping the Public Involved Each Step of the Way

Dear Source:
While Mrs. Carol Berry has a point about if we as a community are prepared to vote Tuesday for candidates for the 5th Constitutional Convention, I hope that the winning delegates might continue with the public educational process. More importantly to involve the public in sub committee public hearings while the delegates draft this important document.
I hope that once the convention members are selected as president, vice- president, secretary and so forth by the delegates, I hope that the committee chairs can be put in place immediately. I believe that the non- controversial articles can be adopted from the fourth constitutional document during the first meetings in July and then move on. Then the delegates can work with the public in debating the adoption of new or revised articles (sub committee items) that fit with the realities of today. However to do this I would suggest that we have more town hall meetings with the delegates in crafting a document that the public can be proud of before we go back and vote on the document. One thing is for certain, please make every effort to go out and vote this Tuesday. It's our future, right?
