Fund Raiser Wednesday Night for Mike Friebus

June 11, 2007 — On May 5 Mike Friebus fell out a window of his home suffering a collapsed lung and catastrophic spinal cord injury.
He was airlifted to Puerto Rico where he underwent surgery on May 17.
A longtime employee of Offshore Marine, Friebus is paralyzed from the waist down.
His many friends are raising funds to finance several projects to make his life easier upon his return to St. Thomas. Friebus is expected back on Friday, June 15.
So far $4700 has been raised to do such things as adapt a wheel chair, retro fit his house and re-grade his driveway to make life easier for him. A lot more is needed.
From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday night June 13 a fundraiser will be held at Offshore Marine near the American Legion post next to the Water and Power Authority in Sub Base. A release from "Friends of Mike" said, "We will be ready to accept your much needed donations of cash, check or credit cards. You bring the funds, we provide the food."
For more information call(340) 690-1397 or check out Mike's Web site at www.just4mike.com.
