VIPD Recruit Class Training to Start

June 4, 2007 – The 2007 Police Recruit Training Class for the St. Croix district is scheduled to begin training on Monday, June 18. A start date for the training class for the St. Thomas/St. John/Water Island district will be announced at a later date, according to a press release from the Virgin Islands Police Department.
Orientation sessions for the recruit class will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during a three-day period, beginning on Monday, June 11 and ending on Wednesday, June 13, at the Violet Damidaux Pavilion at Patrick Sweeney Police Headquarters. Police applicants are asked to contact the Bureau of Internal Affairs at 778-2244 prior to the start of orientation.
Applicants are also encouraged to contact the VIPD's Training Unit at 778-2244 extension 4742 should they have any questions or need additional information.
