Brian Silber Comes to the Beach Side Café June 2

May 30, 2007 – Brian Silber, jazz vocalist, will be featured guest of Live Music in Frederiksted from 6:30 –9:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 2, at Beach Side Café at Sand Castle on the Beach Hotel.
Brian began playing violin at the age of eight and continued as a member of the acclaimed Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra for four years, ultimately becoming a seasoned performing and recording artist. He earned his professional start in the Washington, D.C. area in the early 1970s, recording first with Epic Records and collaborating on stage and in studio with guitar wizard Harvey Reid. In addition to moving effortlessly between traditional, classical, gypsy, classic and contemporary jazz, he loves bluegrass.
Discography includes: "Brian Silber: Ahead of the Wind (1999)," Brian Silber and Andy Gordon: "The Dance of Life (1983)," "The Hot Club of Coral Bay (2006)," "Brian Silber, Inspired (2001)," and his most recent recording, Brian Silber and Andy Gordon: "Now's the Time (2002)."
