A $1000 a Week Carpenter

Dear Source:

This item caught my eye in today's Source in an article about a court case. "One condition Kendall included in the conditions for Mills release is that he return to his job. Court documents show that Mills was working as a carpenter for an Alfred Forbes in Coral Bay, St. John. The record shows that he was making $1,000 a week and had been employed for two weeks."
This man must be one great carpenter $50/hour for a 40 hour week…I wonder if Judge Kendall verified his employment before he told him to return to work?
