Brief: Cruz Bay Town Meeting set for June 5

May 25, 2007 – Senator-at-Large Carmen Wesselhoft and St. John Administrator Leona Smith will sponsor a Cruz Bay town meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. June 5 in the St. John Legislative Conference Room.
The meeting will focus on public safety concerns and infrastructure issues such as roads and traffic.
"We will have updates from the Fire Department, the Police, Public Works and Port Authority," Wesselhoft said. "Residents can ask questions of the officials present and air their concerns in regard to these issues."
The administrator’s office and the Senator-at-Large plan another town meeting for Coral Bay later this summer, according to a release from Wesselhoft's office, and to hold a second town meeting in Cruz Bay to focus on other matters to include youth, seniors and health care.
"Ms. Smith and I are working to keep residents informed and to keep the lines of communication between citizens and Government open,” Wesselhoft said. "We don’t always have to agree, but we must keep talking and listening to one another."
For more information call Wesselhoft at 693-3546 or Smith Office at 776-6484.
