American Youth Soccer Organization Begins Registration

May 16, 2007 – The St. Thomas American Youth Soccer Organization will hold registration for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 season from 9-11:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 19, at the UVI Field. There will be soccer skills activities for the kids to play while parents are registering.
Early registration fees are $85. The organization serves boys and girls ages 4-19 years-old. Players that cannot afford the registration fee can apply for scholarship funds to cover it. STTASYO will hold a second registration from 9-11:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 26, at the Montessori School. No player will be turned away due to inability to pay the registration fee!
The fee covers: a uniform, shin guards, soccer accident insurance, national player registration fee; a quarterly subscription to PLAYSOCCER magazine; specialized training of coaches, referees and administrators; and special events and end of season medals or trophies.
AYSO is a national non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on its five philosophies: Everyone Plays, Open Registration, Good Sportsmanship, Positive Coaching and Balanced Teams.
