Brief: Police Week Activities Continue Through Saturday

May 14, 2007 — The V.I. Police Department will continue to celebrate Police Week with a host of activities, from softball to dancing with seniors to a variety show. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come and participate in all the events.
Remaining St. Croix activities are:
Tuesday
10 a.m.: Peace Officer Memorial March in honor of officers slain in the course of duty, from Bassin Triangle to the Christiansted Wharf. After the march, there will be a memorial ceremony at the Violet Damidaux Police Pavilion.
7 p.m.: Softball at Whim Ball Park
Wednesday
Noon: Open House at Zone A, the Ann Schrader Command.
7 p.m.: Basketball tournament at St. Croix Central High School Gym.
Thursday
Noon: Open House at Zone C, the Ancilmo Marshall Command
Friday
9 a.m.: Career Day at the Violet Damidaux Police Pavilion
Noon: Open House at Patrick Sweeney Police Headquarters
7 p.m.: Police Week Community-Oriented Variety Show at the St. Croix Educational Complex
Saturday
6 a.m.: Mini-triathlon for all law-enforcement officers at Cramer Park
All day: Last Lap Beach Party at the Ginger Thomas Booth at Cramer Park
