Summer Camp Program Will Begin June 25

May 10, 2007 – The Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation will conduct a summer camp program on St. John during the summer of 2007. The camp will be held at the Oppenheimer Beach Facility from June 25-Aug. 3. Applications can be picked up at the Recreation Youth Facility Center.
The Department of Education Nutrition Program will provide lunch. The camp will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., on Monday through Friday, at the Julius E. Sprauve School, according to a press release from the Department.
Parks and Recreation Commissioner Sinclair Williams said, "Any child not enrolled in my site, but who would like to eat breakfast, lunch or snack at the site is welcome to do so. I will promote the Summer Feeding Program within my area."
The 2007 application deadline date is Friday, May 25; however, please submit them as soon as possible. The late application deadline is June 18. For additional information, contact Shikima Jones-Esprit at 776-6531, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
