Walk/Run to Stop Gun Violence Will Take Place

Walk/Run to Stop Gun Violence Will Take Place
A Walk/Run to Stop Gun Violence will be held at 4 p.m., on Sunday, May 20. It will begin and end at the Coast Guard Dock on the waterfront. There will be male and female divisions: age groups 12 and under; 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Parental or guardian consent is required for children under 18.
Prizes will be given in each division and the fees are: 17 and under, $5; adults, $10; paid fees before race day: 17 and under, $3; and adults, $8. Pre-registration can be made at The Caribbean Surf Co., Jane's, the Jackson Center and American Paradise Gym. Race day registration starts Sunday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m. The race will benefit the Jason Carroll Memorial Fund Inc. and raise funds for college scholarships.
