'Read on the Green' Event Is Rescheduled

May 5, 2007 – The Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums advises the community that the Annual "Read on the Green" event has been rescheduled. It will now be held from noon to 5 p.m., on Saturday, May 26, at the UVI golf course on St. Thomas, according to a press release from the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
Families are encouraged to come out and share their love of reading and enjoy an afternoon of fun and "edu-tainment." Author/storyteller Elaine Jacobs is the featured author and will be reading to the children at 2 p.m. Other planned activities include face painting, story reading, crafts and a special play area for children.
Read on the Green is a collaborative effort between schools and public and academic libraries: Department of Education St. Thomas/St. John District, Primary Grades Division and Media Library Service, DPNR, Enid M. Baa Public Library and the U.V.I. Paiewonsky Library.
Bring a book, blanket, chair, and snack and join the group.
