Rebate Fair Will Stress Saving Money and Energy

May 3, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Energy Office (VIEO) will hold Energy Rebate Fairs in both Island districts. The St. Thomas fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 12, in the parking lot at Tutu Park Mall.
Over eight dealers, certified by the VIEO, will be displaying their products, which will include energy efficient appliances as well as alternative energy products. VIEO staff will be available to answer questions about pricing and energy savings. The appliances and systems have been approved for Energy Office rebates. The appliance rebates range from $5 coupons on light bulbs to $600 on a refrigerator, according to a press release from Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
Residents are encouraged to come out and learn how to cut their electric bill by using energy efficient appliances.
For more information about the rebate program call Ms. Muller at 773-1082, ext 2201.
