Baha'i Community Activities for May

Fun Night
May 2, 2007 – The St. Thomas Baha'i Community invites everyone to a Fun Night at 7p.m., on Saturday, May 12, at the Baha'i National Center, 129 Estate Contant. This is an opportunity for children, youth and adults to enjoy fellowship through playing games. All are welcome. For additional information, call 776-7024.
Holy Day Commemoration
The St. Thomas Baha'i Community will commemorate the Declaration of the Bab Holy Day at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 22, at the Baha'i National Center, 129 Estate Contant. All are invited to attend this very special commemoration, which marks the beginning of the Baha'i era. For additional information, call 776-7024.

Devotional Gatherings
Devotional gatherings to say prayers and read from the Writings of Many Faiths are held weekly on St. Thomas and St. John. All are warmly invited to attend and participate.
On St. Thomas, a devotional gathering and potluck brunch will be held at Magens Bay Beach at 10 a.m., on three Sundays: May 13, 20 and 27. Another devotional gathering, the Tranquillity Zone, will be held at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 9, at the Ridvan Studio in Tillett Gardens. For additional information, call 776-7024 or 776-0901.
On St. John, devotional gatherings are held at 7:30 p.m., every Friday, at alternating locations. For information and directions, call 776-6316.

Junior Youth Group
A junior youth group (ages 10 to14) meets from 3:30-5:30 p.m., on most Saturdays, at Mafalie's Day Care. The course of study for the group is "Breezes of Confirmation," prepared by the William Mmutle Masetlha Foundation in Zambia. The aim of the course is to enhance the powers of expression of youth by strengthening their literacy skills and helping them to articulate ideas with some degree of precision and clarity. Virtues development and cooperative playing of games are essential elements of the program, intended to provide them with important tools to guide their decision-making and actions as they mature into young adults. To register your child, call 998-6212 or 514-6752.

Exploring Spiritual Topics
If you would like to join a study group that explores such topics as the purpose of life, realizing one's potential, prayer and life after death, call 776-7024 on St. Thomas or 776-6316 on St. John.
