Approval of Sirenusa Project Is Ridiculous

Dear Source:
I hope the governor can veto this. The legislature is acting like they are running a banana republic. Can't the elected officials respect the laws of the territory and protect their islands from this kind of blatant, irresponsible, and opportunistic development?
Development is good if done in an orderly, planned, consistent way. Not by whim as this was done. As a developer, I've never been bailed out by any local government in the states because of cost overruns; that's my risk and I accept it. How lame of the legislature to fall for that.
Jim Thorburn
Nebraska
