Dear Source:
As a previous USCG licensed master for over 20 years and a veteran solo circumnavigator, I find any explanation for this incident nothing less than amateur and unacceptable.
For goodness sake, the first rule in running a boat is to keep it in water deep enough to float. I can't wait to read the details.
