What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

March 13, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 18. This Sunday we will feature music by Jerry Garcia, Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton, the Young Dubliners, Danny Morris, Mitch Woods, Anais Mitchell and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "The Very Best of Jerry Garcia," an excellent two-CD set that contains an assortment of Jerry Garcia's non Grateful Dead recordings including many of the best songs he recorded with his Jerry Garcia Band.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Knives Don't Have Your Back," a very interesting and entertaining CD of songs recorded by the group Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton, who are a talented new band.
We will play new music from Richard Julian, the Young Dubliners, Peter Rowan and Tony Rice, Anais Mitchell and more.
We include music from Charlie Sexton, Barbara Lynn, the Hacienda Brothers and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of John Hartman of the Doobie Brothers and Wilson Pickett
We also include music from Cletus McBride, who is playing at Molly Molones six nights a week and will be there for St. Patrick's Day. We play music from 2 Blue Shoes, Danny Morris and Mitch Woods, all of whom will be playing on St. John during the week of the St. John Blues Festival. We include music from the Billy Gibson Band, Joey Gilmore, Jon Cleary and T-Bird, all of whom will be performing at the main stage at the St. John Blues Festival on March 24. We also include music from Dave Gerard, who returns for a Virgin Islands tour from March 16-25.

We give you a chance to win a copy of the latest CD from Richard Julian, a songwriter who has frequently played with Norah Jones and is also a member of the Little Willies. We also give you a chance to win a CD from roots rocker Jesse Malin and a new CD release from singer and songwriter Shane Bartell. We will throw in a Shane Bartell T-shirt, as well.
