Celebrations Planned for USVI-Denmark Friendship Month

March 10, 2007 – In observance of USVI-Denmark Friendship Month, the 90th Anniversary Transfer Day Committee presents "Sunset Cultural Showcase" from 5-7 p.m., each Saturday in March, at the Emancipation Garden.
Celebrating the theme, "Emeralds of the Sea Celebrate the Diamond 90th Anniversary: Recalling Our Past, Forging Our Future," the scheduled events feature local musicians and dancers. The performance schedule is as follows:
· Saturday, March 10–JDPP (Juvenile Detention Prevention Program) and the Encore Band
· Saturday, March 24–Superior Court Rising Stars Steel Orchestra
· Friday, March 30–Quelbe/Quadrille Evening: St. Croix Educational Complex Quelbe Band, Lockhart School Dancers, Mungo Niles Cultural Dancers and St. Thomas Heritage Dancers (Note: the Quelbe/Quadrille night was previously scheduled for March 17, but no events are now scheduled for the 17th).
· Saturday, March 31–Jungle Band from Denmark and Milo's Kings
