Sibilly School to Have Annual Nutrition Fair

March 9, 2007 – Joseph Sibilly Elementary School will host its annual Nutrition Fair from 9-11 a.m., on Thursday, March 22, at the school’s main campus. The annual event, coordinated by the school’s kitchen staff and teachers, is held in conjunction with the observance of National Nutrition Month®, according to Principal Dora Hill.
“Our Nutrition Fair features a wide variety of nutritional local foods and drinks presented by each class,” said Dr. Hill. “Throughout the program, students will provide explanations of the various foods and their corresponding groupings.”
National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
The public is invited to attend.
