Alert: Traffic Detours on Route 73 to Begin Next Monday

March 9, 2007 — Beginning next Monday, March 19, there will be traffic detours in effect on Route 73 to allow for the reconstruction of segments of Route 73 (Mon Bijou Road) and Route 732 (Windsor Road) in proximity to the bridge construction site on Route 73.
According to a release from the Public Works Department, residents of Frangipani in Estate Mon Bijou and Estates Little Fountain, Betzys Jewel and Canaan will be affected.
As a result, a realigned temporary bypass road is now in place for motorists traveling on Route 73 (north to south and vice versa).
Residents of the Frangipani residential area will not have access from Route 73. Access and egress to the Frangipani residential area will be from Midland Road, through Estate Glynn's westernmost access road to Route 732 (Windsor Road).
The detour route will take approximately five minutes. These traffic detour routes will remain in effect until August 2007. Public Works asks motorists to please take note of the detour signs and adhere to them.
