Stabbing Leaves One Dead and Two Injured, One Critically

Jan. 28, 2007 –- Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred at 4:20 p.m. Sunday near the Lionel Roberts Stadium.
In addition to the deceased, two other people were stabbed in the incident; both were taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
Glenn Blyden, 37, died as a result of his injuries, while Earl Stuart, 27, is in critical condition with multiple stab wounds all over his body, according to James McCall, acting Police commissioner.
McCall said the third person, as yet unidentified, is the alleged suspect in the fatal stabbing.
As of 6:25 p.m. Sunday, police were still interviewing people at the scene and at the hospital, McCall said. He could provide no other information as of publication time.
This is the second fatal stabbing incident of the year. Jovan Joseph, 24, of Anna's Hope, St. Croix, was fatally stabbed in an attack by a group of four men near the children's rides at Festival Village earlier this month. Several suspects were arrested in that incident days after it took place.
Sunday's fatal stabbing is the territory's third homicide of the year.
