Second Annual Governor's OSHA Conference to Be Held

Jan. 24, 2007 – The Second Annual Governor's Occupational Safety and Health Conference will be held Feb. 12-16, at the Marriott's Frenchman's Reef Resort on St. Thomas. The conference will offer many workshops that will provide information on ways to make your workplace safer. Safety representatives from the University of the Virgin Islands Community Engagement and Lifelong (UVICELL) Safety in Paradise Program will be available to discuss your safety program and provide personalized attention.
This year, a number of training sessions will also be available including a 10-hour construction safety course, a 10-hour general industry course, as well as other sessions devoted to safety issues in the V.I.
The federal OSHA, through the UVICELL Safety in Paradise Program, underwrites the conference. All conference sessions will be offered at no cost to the general public.
