Lion's Club Will Celebrate Its 40th Anniversary

Jan. 19, 2007 – The Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas Lions Club will celebrate its 40th anniversary of serving the community by hosting an Honoree Luncheon. The luncheon will honor distinguished members of the community at 12:30 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.
The honorees are Samuel Topp, talk show host; Michael Veraat, owner of Farnk's Bakery; Lion Carmen Corneiro, MJF, retired nurse; and Lion Wilbert Gomez, PZC, retired vocational educator. A Posthumous Award will be presented to the family of the late Louise Larcheveaux.
Tickets are $55 per person and $100 per couple. They can be purchased from Frank's Bakery, honorees and club members. All proceeds from the event will be used to fund future community projects.
