Brief: Turnbull Portrait to Be Unveiled

Dec. 28, 2006 — An official portrait of Gov. Charles Turnbull will be unveiled Friday at 10 a.m. in the State Ball Room at Government House, Charlotte Amalie, as Turnbull, the sixth elected governor, prepares to leave office on Monday.
Betty Barber, an artist with more than 35 years experience as a portrait artist, was commissioned for the painting of Turnbull, which continues the series of life-size portraits of U.S.V.I. governors.
