St. John Historical Society Plans January Activity
The St. John Historical Society invites the public to join them for an exploration of Levin Marches Bay on St. Johns East End, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 13. Those wishing to participate should meet at the head of the Brown Bay Trail (just past the Zootenval cottages) on the East End Road. SJHS President David Knight will lead the group through what was once one of St. Johns largest estates.
There will be no advance bush clearing, and everyone should come prepared for a deep bush experience. Long pants and shirts, sturdy shoes, water and insect repellant are advised; a cutlash or stout walking stick might come in handy. There will be a $5 charge for non-members.
For more information, contact David at 774-8203.
