Seaborne Airlines Makes Foster Family's Holiday a Special One

Dec. 20, 2006 — A St. Croix foster family was showered with clothes, food, and gifts this holiday season, courtesy of Seaborne Airlines. The donation to the Department of Human Services is the airline's second for the year.
For Thanksgiving, Seaborne Airlines provided a foster family with an entire Thanksgiving Day meal.
The airline responded to a public request from the DHS Foster Care Unit to adopt a foster family during the holidays. Seaborne Airline staff presented the items to the family at the DHS Child Protective Services office in Annas Hope on Wednesday.
The Foster Care Unit on St. Croix serves 90 children; 30 of which are in V.I. Behavioral Services. There are currently 50 homes on St. Croix providing temporary housing for children in Foster Care.
Persons interested in becoming a Foster Care parent or who are interested in volunteering with the Foster Care Unit can contact Elizabeth Mueller at 773-5303.
