Dec. 20, 2006 Roy Phipps died on Dec. 19, at age 50.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Clendinen Bailey; stepfather, Adam Bailey; brother, Mark Chavis Sr.; nephew, Mark Chavis Jr. and niece, Crystal Chavis. He is also survived by uncles: Joseph Clendinen, Oliver Ottley Sr., Austin Sealey, Lyle Cruz and Sterlton Wenner; and aunts: Ann Clendinen Woltz, Lucia Ottley, Esther Cruz, Helen Clendinen Johnson, Denny Roberson, Gladys Marsh, and Erica, Christine and Lenecia Dazle; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 2-4 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 22, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
