Christchurch Methodist to Honor Gov. Charles Turnbull

Dec. 9, 2006 Christchurch Methodist will honor Gov. Charles W. Turnbull at a black tie banquet to be held at 7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 29, at the Ballroom at Palms Court Harbourview Hotel. The governor has been a life-long member of the church, and the Superintendent Minister Rev. Selwyn L. Vanterpool and the officers and members of the congregation will award him a commemorative medallion as a token of appreciation for his invaluable service to the people of the United States Virgin Islands.
Tickets can be purchased for a donation of $75 at the Circuit Church Office, Christchurch Methodist Education and Outreach Services (CMEOS), V.I. Tuxedo and Bridal in Tutu Park Mall or First Choice Gifts in the Market Square.
For additional information or for business firms, officials or organizations wishing to place booklet ads or congratulatory messages to the governor, call the church office at 774-0797 or the CMEOS at 776-4455. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward the programs of CMEOS that address the needs of underprivileged children in the community.
