Brief: Driver Suffers Multiple Injuries in Upper Havensight Crash

Nov. 30, 2006 — The driver of a late model Jeep Cherokee suffered multiple injuries Thursday afternoon after his vehicle careened off a 30-foot embankment in upper Havensight, leaving the car wedged between the hillside and Al Cohen's mall.
St. Thomas rescue volunteers responded to the accident, and the driver was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center. According to reports, the driver was the sole occupant, and there no other injuries.
An investigation regarding the accident, which occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday, is ongoing. At this point, there is no update on the driver's medical condition.
