Queens of the V.I. Chautauqua Will Give Final Performance
The public is invited to the Queens of the Virgin Islands Chautauqua Series in their final performance at 8 p.m., on Friday, June 23, at the Fort Frederick Museum. Admission is free.
The event allows the audience to converse with and ask questions of Queen Breffu, warrior queen of St. John in 1733; Queen Mary, freedom queen of St. Croix in 1878; and Queen Coziah, worker and bamboula queen of St. Thomas in 1892. The performance is about tradition, culture and history and is directed by Per Ankh.
