Energy Rebate Fair Set for Saturday

May 2, 2006 — The V.I. Energy Office will hold an Energy Rebate Fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wendy's parking lot in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center.
Six dealers, certified by the V.I. Energy Office, will be displaying energy-efficient appliances and alternative energy systems, which have been approved for Energy Office rebates. The rebates range from $5 coupons on light bulbs to a $1,000 coupon on solar water heaters.
Leila D. Muller, program monitor at the Energy Office, said, "We want to highlight and encourage responsible and efficient use of energy in our daily lives."
Department of Planning and Natural Resources Commissioner Dean C. Plaskett encourages the community to come out and learn how to cut their electricity bill by using energy efficient appliances.
For more information about the rebate program, call Ms. Muller at 773-1082, ext. 2201.
