April 25, 2006 – The UVI Small Business Development Center in collaboration with the U. S. Small Business Administration will celebrate Small Business Week in the Virgin Islands from May 8 through May 13. There will be a media appearance, seminars, small business clinics and the annual SBDC/SBA Small Business Awards Ceremonies. The public is encouraged to attend and support these activities. Admission is free. Please pre-register.
A seminar on "The Business of Working with Wood" in collaboration with UVI Cooperative Extension Service and Virgin Islands Resource Conservation and Development Council Inc. will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on May 10, at the UVI Research and Extension Center, room 133, St. Croix Campus.
There will be a SBDC/SBA Annual Awards Ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on May 11, at Aqua West – Frederiksted, St. Croix.
There will be a Small Business Clinic in collaboration with FirstBank Virgin Islands from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on May 12, at FirstBank – Sunny Isle Branch, St. Croix.
