League of Women Voters Has Speaker and Luncheon

April 20, 2006 – The 37th Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of the Virgin Islands will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 22, at Pilgrims Terrace. Among the agenda items are the election of new officers and members of the board of directors. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m., and the public is welcome.
A buffet luncheon will be served at noon. The guest speaker, Carlisle Corbin, special assistant in the office of the governor, will talk on the topic "Adoption of a Virgin Islands Constitution and Its Implication for Status." Registration is $10 and the buffet luncheon is $30.
The menu is: turkey breast in a brown gravy, Atlantic salmon fillet in a cream sauce, parsley potatoes, peas and rice, a medley of fresh vegetables, garden salad, rolls, assorted desserts and tropical punch / passion fruit.
