UVI-SBDC Seminar on 'When an Employee is Deployed'

April 14, 2006 – The UVI Small Business Development Center in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, a department of the U.S. Department of Defense, is conducting a seminar entitled "When Your Employee is Deployed."
The seminar is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon, on Tuesday, April 18, at the UVI-SBDC Training Facility, 2nd Floor, East Wing, Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas. The presenter is Emmett Hansen II, executive director of the ESGR V.I. committee.
What is required of the employer when their employee is deployed? What is the service person's responsibility to the employer when s/he is notified that s/he will be deployed? How long can the deployed employee be away from the job? Do you have other questions about deployed employees? Attend this seminar and take notes so you can find out some of the basic things you need to know help support the employee who is deployed.
Pre-registration is required, the public is invited and admission is free.
