Vigil Will Pay Tribute to Sherett James and Others
The University of the Virgin Islands will hold a "Vigil for Non-violence" at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 12, on the Herman E. Moore Golf Course (near the Recreation Center). Spurred by the March 25 killing of UVI junior Sherett James, the vigil will also pay tribute to all the victims of violence in the Virgin Islands.
UVI students are asked to come prepared to speak out against violence through poetry, musical selections or short skits. The general public is also invited to attend and participate.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a towel for seating on the grass, as chairs will be limited. Refreshments will be served.
