Democratic Party Political Director Visits V.I.

April 8, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Democratic Party has announced that Art De Coursey, political director of the DNC Northeast Region, will visit the territory on April 11 and April 12. He will work with the local party to establish a state-partnership funding plan to employ and train field organizers.
The DNC is committed to strengthening local operations and building the democratic community through the grassroots level. The goals are to develop a field organization in every state to create a foundation for a permanent national grassroots organization, according to a press release from the V.I. Democratic Party.
