Rose "Matam" George Dies at 87

April 4, 2006 – Rose George, known as "Matam," has died at age 87. She was from Dominical and died at her residence in St. Thomas.
She is survived by son, Jno Baptiste George; daughters: Isidora Pharoah, Veronica George, Florestine Massiccotte, Catherina St. Luce, Hyacinth Larounde and Joan George Francis. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren including: Amos Charles II, Lt. Ian Larry Pharoah, Lisa Pharoah Gaton, Dr. Ezmin George, Memorial George Parson, Nancy Charles, Mellisa and Vaniqua Pharoah, Sherna and Sherman St. Luce, Hezron George and Nahsan St. Bernard; 9 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 6, at the Davis Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., on Friday, April 7, at the Holy Family Cathedral followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
All arrangements are by the Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
